学佛后当务之急就是忏悔业障,修行者的底线就是惭愧心

大家学佛了之后,第一个当务之急就是忏悔业障,不花个三五年功夫,想把业障忏悔干净,是不可能的。什么叫修行? 怎么样花开见佛? 但得障净,不须修真。阿弥陀佛无量光无量寿,佛光是普照的,现在就照着我们,我们为什么看不到呢? 就是因为自己业障太重。 所以我们要消业障,不管是拜佛念佛、 念经持咒,首要的都是消业障,要念念不忘自己的业障重。
After becoming a Buddhist, the most important thing to do first is to repent of negative karma. It will not be possible for one to purify their negative karma if one does not spend four or five years doing this. What is Dharma practice about and how can we see the real Buddha? As the saying goes, “One only needs to purify their negative karma, without deliberately cultivating the truth”.Amitabha is the embodiment of infinite light and infinite longevity; the light illuminating from him shines universally upon everything, including all of us, but why can’t we see it? It is because of enormous negative karma preventing us from doing so. We must purify our negative karma by all means, whether it be worshipping the Buddha, praying to the Buddha, reading sutras or reciting mantras. We must never forget that we are carrying very heavy negative karma.
印光大师是大势至菩萨化现,他还自称 “常惭愧僧印光”。他出家一辈子, 修到八十多岁,闭关近半个世纪,他说常惭愧,是给我们做榜样的。我们能生起一点惭愧心,那还算是个徒,佛弟子修行者的最低的这个底线,就是惭愧心。
The Venerable Master Yinguang is an emanation of Mahasthamaprapta Bodhisattva in human form, but he still called himself ‘a monk who constantly feels ashamed’. Despite the fact that he became a Buddhist monk when he was young and had carried out Dharma practice until he was eighty years old whereupon he entered nirvana, despite the fact that he had been in retreat for nearly half a century, he still said he constantly felt ashamed. This was to set an example for us. If we can feel even a small amount of shame then we can still count ourselves as Buddhists. Feeling shame is foundational for a Dharma practitioner.
生生世世我们因为愚昧轮回在苦海里,害自己害别人。有的人不愿意忏悔,自以为自己是好人。学佛了就知道了,我们也不需要拿出什么案例来,指出你因为说了什么,做了什么,所以你是坏人,需要忏悔。我们是凡夫,就需要忏悔,只要有一天愚昧,我们就得忏悔。有贪心,要忏悔,嗔心、愚痴都要忏悔的。所有凡夫的特质,从身体到口到意念上的,都是罪恶的,害自己害他人,就是因为这些我们才轮回苦海,它们的属性都是罪恶的,因为这些我们吃的亏、流的血、 流的泪,数也数不清。我们要好好地修行, 生起忏悔心。特别是现在,我们人类科技发达了,造恶业也飞速发展,文艺复兴之后,我们人类的业障是越来越重。
Although we have been living in cyclic existence over many, many lives because of our ignorance and confusion, causing a lot of harm to other sentient beings, some people still refuse to repent of their negative karma and think they are good people.After learning Buddha-dharma,we realise that there is no need to ndexamples to show we are bad men. We do not need to identify specific misdeeds in order to confess, we need to confess simply because we are ordinary beings. We need to confess as long as we are still living with confusion even for one day, as well as greed and hatred. All the characteristics of an ordinary being – body, words and mind – are evil by nature. They cause harm to others as well as ourselves. This is the reason we have been suffering in the sea of cyclic existence, experiencing countless losses, bleeding and tearing.In particular, highly advanced technology has greatly enhanced the extent and speed of our evil deeds. The negative karma of human beings is getting greater and greater. We must feel shame and practice the Dharma earnestly.
文殊师利勇猛智
普贤慧行亦复然
我今回向诸善根
随彼一切常修学
三世诸佛所称叹
如是最胜诸大愿
我今回向诸善根
为得普贤殊胜行
我今皈依十方一切诸佛世尊
已得阿耨多罗三藐三菩提
欲捨报身入涅槃者
我皆至诚顶礼劝请
照明理趣
施无碍法
莫般涅槃
久住于世
度脱安乐一切众生
如前所说乃至无尽安乐
我今以此劝请功德
回向阿耨多罗三藐三菩提
如过去未来现在诸大菩萨
劝请功德回向菩提
我亦如是劝请功德回向无上正等菩提
