Apple的新版OS X 10.11.x操作系统（代号El Captian）造成Capture Drive Dock使用Codex dts-3.0软件时出现USB3兼容性故障。Codex一方面在从系统层面着手解决这一问题，另一方面，他们也利用这个机会针对收集到的用户反馈做出改进，全面重新规划软件用户界面，推出全新版本的Codex Production Suite。
除此之外，ARRI ALEXA SXT为使用XR和SXR Capture Drive录制ProRes推出了RAID保护功能，要读取这种存储器需要先安装ARRI RAID Driver驱动程序，它已经包含在了Codex Production Suite的安装文件内。
因此，我们建议所有的Codex Capture Drive Dock用户，包括使用Capture Drive Dual Dock（SAS）和Thunderbolt Dock的用户更新Codex Production Suite。
Codex Production Suite是什么？
Codex Production Suite全面提升了Codex软件的用户体验，为现场与近场制作工作提供了一套综合工具。它包含摄影机原始数据克隆、元数据编辑和时间线图像品控工具、音频同步、元数据写入、从HD到4K全分辨率图像的报告与输出文件生成功能，而且支持许多图片和视频格式。
我如何才能获得Codex Production Suite？
Codex Production Suite采用一种新的基于订阅的计价模式，能够以合理的价格获取并在Codex社区内得到世界级的技术支持。从Codex Production Suite 4.0开始，用户可获取一份授权许可证，此授权许可证可在任何运行Codex Production Suite（Capture Drive Dock授权许可证）的Mac计算机上使用任何Capture Drive Dock。
升级现有Dock
现有的Dock用户需要到Codex网站注册，获得一个Codex Production Suite 30天免费试用资格，试用期内软件功能未做任何限制。
试用期满后如需继续使用，用户可购买一份12个月的Codex Connect Support订阅服务，以此获得一份永久的Capture Drive Dock授权许可证。Codex Connect订阅账号可获得Codex在线支持、教程以及后续的Codex Production Suite软件工具包升级。在Codex Connect订阅账号有效期内，用户还可使用Codex Backbone —— 一个用于摄影机和制作项目的元数据与文件追踪及报告的综合数据库。
试用期满后，如果用户决定不注册Codex Connect，那么软件功能将受到限制，只剩下通过Codex虚拟文件系统读取摄影机原生文件和存储器管理两项功能。任何时候，用户都可通过订阅Codex Connect解锁Production Suite的全部功能。
购买一台新的SXR或XR Capture Drive Dock（雷电接口）
新发售的XR或SXR Capture Drive Dock已包含了一份免费的Capture Drive Dock授权许可证和Codex Production Suite软件。购买SXR Capture Drive Dock还可同时获赠12个月的Codex Connect Support资格。
谁需要升级到Codex Production Suite？
任何需要使用SXR Capture Drive来录制的用户。
任何使用Mac OS X 10.11 El Capitan或更新版本操作系统来读取Codex Capture Drive Dock的用户。
任何使用ALEXA SXT在XR Capture Drive或SXR Capture Drive中录制ProRes的用户。
现有Codex USB3和SAS底座“以旧换新”计划

重要更新：
Apple已发布了最新版操作系统MacOS 10.12（代号Sierra），Apple似乎在新版操作系统中做出了更多改动，导致一些USB3设备出现问题。目前，这是一个已知的开发缺陷。影响尤为重大的是它影响到了Codex USB3 Dock的使用。由于这个问题，大多数时间内Capture Drive都无法成功加载。
如果您计划保留USB3底座，我们建议您将软件升级到Codex Production Suite，但在问题得到妥善解决之前，将操作系统停留在Apple OS X El Capitan 10.11；或者再考虑一下是否参与我们的“以旧换新”计划，获得新型的Thunderbolt XR或SXR Capture Drive Dock。
Capture Drive Docks Software Update
The upgrade to Apple’s MacOS El Capitan (10.11.x) has caused USB3 compatibility issues with Capture Drive Docks using the Codex dts-3.0 software. As Codex addressed these issues on the system level, they also took the opportunity to incorporate the user feedback they had collected, to completely re-define the software user interface and create the all-new Codex Production Suite.
The ARRI ALEXA SXT, in addition, introduces RAID-protected ProRes recording to XR and SXR Capture Drives. Accessing these drives requires the free ARRI RAID Driver, which is included with the Codex Production Suite installer.
Codex Production Suite therefore is a recommended update for all existing Codex Capture Drive Docks, including the SAS dual dock and the Thunderbolt Dock.
What is Codex Production Suite?
The Codex Production Suite completely redefines the Codex software user experience and features a comprehensive toolset for on-set and near-set production tasks. It includes tools for cloning of camera original data, metadata editing and timeline image QC tools, audio sound sync, metadata burn-ins, reporting and deliverable generation from HD to 4K, supporting a number of image and video formats.
How can I get Codex Production Suite?
The introduction of Codex Production Suite brings a new, subscription-based pricing model, which enables cost-effective ownership and access to world-class technical support within the Codex community. Starting with Codex Production Suite 4.0, customers can obtain a license, which allows them to use any Capture Drive Dock with any Mac computer running Codex Production Suite (Capture Drive Dock license).
Update of an existing Dock
For existing docks, customers need to sign up on the Codex Website, to get access to a free 30-day trial of Codex Production Suite. During the trial period, the software will be fully functional.
For continued use of the software features after the trial, customers can obtain a permanent Capture Drive Dock license with the purchase of a 12-month Codex Connect Support Subscription. Codex Connect grants access to Codex online support, tutorials, and continued software feature upgrades for the Codex Production Suite tool set. An active Codex Connect subscription also enables Codex Backbone, a comprehensive database for camera and production metadata, file tracking and reporting.
If a customer decides not to sign up for Codex Connect upon the end of the Codex Production Suite trial, the software features will be limited to provide only basic access to camera native files through the Codex Virtual File System and allow drive management tasks. Customers can permanently unlock the full Production Suite functionality at any time, through a Codex Connect subscription.
Purchase of a new SXR or XR Capture Drive Dock (Thunderbolt)
A FREE Capture Drive dock license and Codex Production Suite are included with every purchase of a new XR or SXR Capture Drive Dock. The purchase of the SXR Capture Drive Dock also includes 12 months of Codex Connect Support.
Who needs the Upgrade to Codex Production Suite?
Anyone recording to SXR Capture Drives.
Anyone using a Codex Capture Drive Dock with a Mac running OS X 10.11 El Capitan or later.
Anyone recording ProRes to XR Capture Drives or SXR Capture Drives in the ALEXA SXT.
Trade-in program for the existing Codex USB3 and SAS docks
Out of warranty and older USB3 and SAS docks can be traded in to the newer SXR Capture Drive Docks. This trade-in program provides a new Capture Drive Dock including and A FREE Capture Drive Dock license and Codex Production Suite with every trade-in from USB3 for a new SXR Capture Drive Dock. The purchase of the SXR Capture Drive Dock also includes 12 months of Codex Connect Support.
This program is also applicable for existing SAS and USB Capture Drive dock owners, going to the newer XR Capture Drive Dock.
The trade-in program is handled by Codex directly.

IMPORTANT Update:
Apple is about to release the new MacOS Sierra (10.12). It seems Apple has made some more changes, which introduce problems with some USB3 devices. This is currently a known development bug. What is more important is that it affects the use of the Codex USB3 Dock. The problem is that the majority of the time the Capture Drive will not load successfully.
If you plan to keep your USB3 dock, we recommend to update your software to Codex Production Suite, but stay on El Capitan 10.11, until the problem has been resolved, or to re-consider the trade-in program and move to the newer Thunderbolt XR or SXR Capture Drive Dock.
