香港中文大学建筑学院教授

1988年进入东南大学建筑系学习，其后他在东南大学建筑研究所获得硕士与博士学位，期间他也在苏黎世瑞士联邦理工学院（ETHZ）建筑系深造。博士毕业后他曾在东南大学执教，并参与创立南京大学建筑研究所。、张永和、刘家琨、王澍、张雷、马清运等入选柏林《土木》大展，成为首批在国际舞台亮相的中国独立建筑师。2004年他加入香港中文大学建筑学院，目前作为全职终身教授，专注于研究新型的空间结构、轻型建筑系统和可持续建筑技术。

2008年以来，他领导的的团队发明了六种新型的建筑系统，并成功应用在超过七个内地省份和非洲地区，它们包括慈善学校、自然保护区工作站以及都市办公建筑。这些工作获得许多专业奖项，并已发表在美国、意大利、日本、瑞士、英国、韩国和肯尼亚的专业杂志上。

由于示范了非常独特的灾后重建与社会发展途径，朱竞翔成为2012年《华尔街日报》“中国创新人物奖”的得主。2015年尾他刚赢得香港建造业议会创新奖一等奖。在2016年第十五届威尼斯国际建筑双年展上，朱竞翔教授受邀为中国国家馆设计了户外作品－展厅“斗室”。在刚刚揭晓的第四届中国建筑传媒奖上，朱竞翔不仅收获了技术探索奖，也入围青年探索奖。

Prof. Zhu Jingxiang received his education in Southeast university and Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich. Before joined CUHK in 2004, He taught in Southeast University and Nanjing University. In 2000 he was selected for Berlin “TUMU” exhibition and became the first group of mainland Chinese independent architect exposed on the international circle, together with Ai Weiwei, Yungho Chang, Wang Shu,  Liu Jiakun, Zhang Lei and Ma Qingyun. 

In 2004 he joined the School of Architecture, Chinese University of Hong Kong, currently working as a full-time tenured professor focused on research of new spatial structure, lightweight building systems and sustainable building technologies.

Since 2008, he led a team and invented 6 innovative prefab light-weight building systems, and applied them in quake areas and developing areas, covering 7 mainland provinces and east Africa. These works received many professional awards, and have been published in the professional journals in United States, Italy, Japan, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, Korea and Kenya.

Prof. Zhu Jingxiang won 2012 China Innovator of the Year Award in architecture from The Wall Street Journal, and First Prize of Hong Kong Construction Council Innovation award in 2015 . During 2016 15th International Architecture Exhibition (La Biennale di Venezia ), Professor Zhu Jingxiang was invited by Ministry of Culture and independent curator Mr. Liang Jingyu designing “DOU Pavilion” for  China National Pavilion.In the recently-announced fourth China Architecture Media Award, Zhu Jingxiang harvested Technique Exploration Award and  Youth Explorer Finalist Award.
