口语教室第5辑:Describe a wedding you attended

又是一年毕业季，老同学就要各奔东西。伤感之余，考研党、出国党、工作党哪个又不是各有艰难?就在咱辛苦地准备着雅思，准备深造之时，也有这么一群老同学以猝不及防之势选择结婚了。隔三差五刷刷朋友圈，不是高中同学就是大学同学结婚的喜讯。不管结婚早晚，愿大家都能在茫茫人海中找到自己的 the one，与幸福相伴。不过让我们在找到他/她之前，通过每一个今天的努力，成为最好的自己吧。让我们开始今天的学习：Describe a wedding you attended.and explain how you felt about it.回答这道口语题的时候，首先应该注意的是，通篇需要保持时态的一致。既然是描述一个你参加过的婚礼，自然要选择过去式。第一个需要回答的小问题是whose wedding it was？ 可以和第二个when you attended it 合并回答，避免语法出现错误。回答这个问题非常简单，常见的是同学、朋友、兄弟姐妹。Well, I attended my best friend's wedding last month. She was my roomate in college, and I felt so happy that I could be high on her guest list.说起婚礼啊，这西方人比较习惯于在教堂 (church)，而中国人现在在酒店举办的比较多。当然了，想起周董之前在城堡(castle)举办的奢华婚礼，只能说土豪随意了。The bride walks down the aisle and is given away by her father 新娘会由父亲携同走入长廊，并由父亲交由新郎手中throw confetti 婚礼或狂欢会扔的五彩纸屑在中国还有个跳火盆 (step over the brazier)的习俗，这样可以辟邪（scaring away evil spirits）Early in the morning, I witnessed a Chinese traditional custom called stepping over the brazier, which was used to scare away evil spirits.The wedding ceremony was held in a five-star hotel in Beijing. Many of the guests were dressed in smartly-tailored clothes that went perfectly with the decor of the wedding. The bride walked down the aisle and was given away by her father. I saw her eyes were burst into tears. The bride and groom then exchanged vows in front of the guest. I remember what they said was " Till death do us apart."
