Since when?
这个问句，有两个意思：
Since when 再要加上要说的事情，表示从何时开始的？
例如：
Since when did he quit smoking?
他从何时开始戒烟的？
但是，如果只说“Since when？”意思可不同了。
= 几时开始有这回事啊？
= 真有这事？
如果有人给你透露消息，你觉得不相信，或者没听说过这个消息，你都可以这么说。
甚至像我们上面举的那个例子：
Since when did he quit smoking?
这都可能是一个评论而不是问句： “他那种人戒烟，哼，哪有可能啊！”
场景 1：
A: Can you believe that Mary is going to Ireland?
B: Since when?
有这回事？
A: I just heard today.
She leaves tomorrow and is planning to stay three months.
B: I am so excited for her.
She has always wanted to go.
A: I am sure she is anxious to leave.
B: Yes, I hope she brings me back something wonderful!
excited 感到兴奋的
anxious 渴望的
场景2：
A: Did you know the price of iPhone7 increased?
B: Why? Since when?
是吗？有这回事？
A: They created a new type of IPhone7, IPhone7 Plus, and it is much more expensive to make.
B: I hope my iPhone doesn’t go out pretty soon then.
go out 坏掉； 不亮（电器）
场景3：
A: Melania Trump isn’t living in the White House anymore.
B: I didn’t know that .
Since when?
我不知道啊，有这回事吗？

场景4：
A: Since when did Kelly quit work at that new office?
B: She hasn’t worked there in over two weeks.
